When world-renowned architect Cesar Pelli built Overture Center, he intentionally created a nearly-white marble building. It was a blank canvas, he said, upon which the people of Madison would provide the color. International Festival brings this vision to vivid reality, weaving a rich tapestry of performances, crafts and foods with sounds, smells and flavors as colorful as the vibrant costumes that adorn the performers. That’s true more this year than ever, as International Festival moves to early January. Come in out of the cold and connect with cultures from across the globe! We give full-throated voice to languages, cultures and people from around the world, even as all the performers currently call Dane County home. For this one day, Local Goes Global!

This project is supported by CUNA Mutual Foundation; the Arts Access Fund, a component fund of the Madison Community Foundation; Dane Arts and contributions to Overture Center for the Arts.
