Kids in the Rotunda - Trinity Irish Dance
Sat, Mar 18
Overture Hall Lobby: Free
The 1 PM performance will be American Sign Language interpreted. Please call 608.258.4148 if you need to be seated within sight of the interpreter.
Since its inception 34 years ago, the Trinity Irish Dancers have grown from a dozen students practicing in a church basement to the largest and most recognized Irish dance school in the world, earning 17 gold medals and over 35 titles at the World Irish Dance Championships and appearances in numerous Hollywood films and national television programs. Enjoy as young dancers leap onto the Kids in the Rotunda stage showcasing their incredible Irish soft shoe set to heart thumping reels.
Puppet fun: Join us and art studio staff from Madison Children’s Museum on the Rotunda Stage before or after the shows to create tiny toy theater figures from paper, wire and other materials. Put on a show with your puppet in our cardboard theater and display your creations for others to see.
Art Fun: Stop by the Central Library’s Children’s Room from 9 AM – 2 PM for free art activities, special book displays and more, all inspired by the day’s Kids in the Rotunda performance.
Funding provided by American Girl’s Fund for Children, Madison Gas & Electric Foundation, the Kuehn Family Foundation, the Green Bay Packers Foundation, Ian’s Pizza, and by contributions to Overture Center for the Arts.
