Primavera, presented by Madison Ballet
Fri, Mar 31 - Sat, Apr 1
Bartell Theatre: $25 - $30
$25 for children & seniors, $30 for adults
Madison Ballet closes its season with a spring celebration of dance and music. Artistic Director W. Earle Smith brings to life two premieres: his own quintessentially romantic Romeo and Juliet Pas de Deux, and Las Cuatro (“The Four”), set to Astor Piazzolla’s “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires,” a dynamic interpretation of Vivaldi’s popular suite.
The company will also perform excerpts from it’s charming A Midsummer Night’s Dream, with choreography by Peter Anastos (founding director/choreographer of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo and a frequent collaborator with Mikhail Baryshnikov).
Madison Ballet’s Primavera showcases dance in its purest form—athletic, sensual, and intimate—and the 200-seat Drury Stage at the Bartell Theatre brings you closer to the artists than anywhere else.
