Cellist Alban Gerhardt returns to the Overture stage for a memorable performance of Walton’s Cello Concerto, a piece reflecting the composer’s love of Italy. Conductor John DeMain and the Madison Symphony Orchestra open the program with Rossini’s Overture to Semiramide and finish with Brahms’ lyrical Symphony No. 1.
