The Madison Symphony Orchestra and Conductor John DeMain welcome back the immensely talented Violinist Augustin Hadelich in Dvorák’s popular Violin Concerto. The program opens with Britten’s intensely powerful Sinfonia da Requiem and closes with Schumann’s Symphony No. 1 (Spring), taking listeners on a journey out of the cold and darkness of winter and into the light and promise of spring.
About Augustin Hadelich
Grammy Award-winner Augustin Hadelich has established himself as one of the great violinists of his generation. He has performed with major orchestras throughout the world including appearances with the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, the symphony orchestras of Baltimore, Colorado, Dallas, North Carolina, San Diego, and St. Louis, Dresden Philharmonic, Frankfurt Radio Orchestra, BBC Symphony/London, Danish National Symphony, London Philharmonic, Stuttgart Radio Orchestra, and a tour of China with the San Diego Symphony.
