A twister warps Dorothy through her computer screen into the land of the wacky, weird and wizardly Oz, who in this day and age resides in cyberspace.

PlayTime Productions creates community theatre by children, for children. Since 1979, its all-youth casts (ages 8-15) have enchanted audiences around Dane County with original theatrical versions of classic fairy tales and other stories like The Red Shoes, The Little Match Girl, Ali Baba, Cinderella. Founded by the late Teddy Studt, PlayTime Productions is dedicated to bringing “a little magic” into the lives of the 5,000 Dane County residents who attend PlayTime’s productions each year.

With Grateful Acknowledgment to our major sponsor each season since 2001 PlayTime thanks the American Girl’s Fund for Children. This project is supported in part by a grant from American Girl’s Fund for Children and this project is supported by Dane Arts with additional funding from the Pleasant T. Rowland Foundation and Endres Manufacturing, and is funded in part by a grant from the Madison Arts Commission, with additional funds from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
