The Voice of the Community
Representing a variety of constituencies, Overture’s Community Advisory Council makes recommendations to Overture Center staff regarding community and educational programming. The Council recommends opportunities to deepen and enrich community engagement and helps develop relationships with community constituents and organizations. The Council also evaluates Overture’s community programming.
The Community Advisory Council continues to grow and establish itself as an important contributor to the Equity and Innovation initiative at Overture. The Council has recently completed Overture’s Land Recognition Statement and Equity and Innovation statement for the organization, review of the International Festival and Community Ticket program and will help with recruitment of volunteers for Overture’s volunteer usher core.
