Overture teams up with American Red Cross to help patients in need
Join us for a community powered event on Thursday, April 2
Overture Center and the American Red Cross invite you to take center stage and help save a life by donating blood. Let’s “come together” and “with a little help from our friends,” we can help save lives on April 2.
How to Make an Appointment
The Broadway, Beatles and Blood: Blood Drive will be held at Overture Center for the Arts on Thursday, April 2 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. This is the first time the Red Cross and Overture are partnering to host a blood drive and we hope it’ll become an annual event.
Make your appointment by downloading the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767). Use the sponsor code “Overture Center” to register for an appointment on April 2.
As our way of saying “thanks,” everyone donating blood will receive:
- An iTunes gift card for 15 Broadway songs
- Promo code for 10% off all shows remaining on the 2014/15 Overture Presents season
- A chance to win one of six pairs of tickets to The McCartney Years
How to donate
All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification, are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
