2019/20 Season Features Over 45 Shows and 32 Overture Center Debuts Including National Tour of HAMILTON

The Tony Award-winning cultural phenom leads a Broadway Lineup that includes My Fair Lady, The SpongeBob Musical, Come From Away, The Color Purple, Wicked, The Book of Mormon, The Play That Goes Wrong and Riverdance New 25th Anniversary Show; More Than 90 Concert, Dance, Lecture and Children’s Performances

Overture is pleased to announce its 2019/20 Broadway and Overture Presents season that puts you in the room where nearly 100 performances will happen.

In addition to the Broadway at Overture Series presented by American Family Insurance, the Overture Presents season offers three other package options – Cabaret, Duck Soup Cinema and National Geographic Live!. Series subscribers can add on any non-Broadway Overture Presents titles to their order, or ‘Make Your Own’ package by selecting any four or more non-Broadway titles.

This unique musical dining experience begins with hors d’oeuvres in the Capitol Theater Lobby, followed by a gourmet dinner, courtesy of Catering a Fresco, served on the historic Capitol Theater stage, which is transformed into an elegant nightclub for the evening

2019/20 Duck Soup Cinema Series (sponsored by Goodman’s Jewelers):

Step back in time with The Duck Soup Cinema silent film series, nationally known for providing an authentic silent film experience in the historic Capitol Theater. This year, in honor of Overture’s first woman president and CEO, Sandra Gajic, our season is focused on highlighting and celebrating female pioneers in film including directors, lead actresses and more. Film showings include local vaudeville entertainment with an emcee, door prizes and a classic feature film with live organ accompaniment. Don’t miss a chance to experience this unique performance you will only find at Overture. Film showings (excluding Hypocrites) include vaudeville entertainment with an emcee, door prizes and a classic feature film with live organ accompaniment on the theater’s original 1928 Grand Barton Organ.

Overture’s Duck Soup Cinema silent film series is nationally known for providing an authentic and rare silent film experience in the historic Capitol Theater, which celebrated its 90th anniversary in January 2018. As these films were released nearly a century ago, please be aware they may depict some of the theatrics and social conventions of the time including material that may be considered socially insensitive today.

How to get tickets:

Becoming a subscriber or renewing a subscription or renewing a subscription is the only way to secure seats now for the 2019/20 season. For best pricing and availability, or to renew a current Broadway subscription and guarantee your same seats, orders must be received before Monday, May 6, 2019. Purchase at overture.org, by mailing in the order form (available online), calling the box office at 608.258.4141, or in-person at the box office (201 State Street).

The 2019/20 Broadway at Overture presented by American Family Insurance six-show package includes HAMILTON, COME FROM AWAY, MY FAIR LADY, THE COLOR PURPLE, THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL and THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG. Returning favorite WICKED can be added to the Broadway subscription to create a seven-show package. 2019/20 Broadway subscribers can also purchase tickets to “Season Options” THE BOOK OF MORMON and RIVERDANCE NEW 25th ANNIVERSARY SHOW before tickets go on sale to the public. Interest-free installment billing will be available if subscription is submitted by Monday, May 20, 2019. Patrons must select the “Installment Billing” option on the order form or online order. Renewing 2018/19 Broadway subscribers can select “Installment Billing” during the renewal process.

Single tickets for individual shows for Broadway at Overture performances will go on sale to the public throughout the season, subject to availability.

Patrons can create an Overture Presents Make Your Own Series package with four (or more) non-Broadway titles. Single tickets for Overture Presents shows will go on sale to the public in Summer 2019.

Many shows offer discounted group tickets for orders of 10 (sometimes 15) or more tickets in the same show/performance. Group requests will be accepted beginning on Tuesday, April 9 (orders to be processed Summer 2019) by emailing groups@overture.orgwith seating reservations locked in during late July. Groups for HAMILTON are not available.
