5 things to do before an Overture show

We have all been there: you arrive downtown early before showtime because you wanted to grab your favorite parking spot and visit some local spots downtown. But now you have two hours to kill and aren’t sure which of the many amazing establishments to stop in as you wait for Overture’s lobby to open. Here are five fun things to do to make the most of your time downtown:

1. Start your night off right with dinner or a cocktail at Rare Steakhouse. 3. View works from local artists featured in local galleries. Overture’s four visual art galleries create a forum for diverse artistic expression that fosters the growth of local artists, curators and arts organizations. In addition to Overture’s galleries, visitors can stop by the James Watrous Gallery or walk next door to the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (MMOCA) for free!
   
   
4. Enjoy a snack or beverage at one of Overture’s many concessions stands or bars. You can munch on some nuts from Fortune Favors or grab a specialty Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktail to enjoy on a comfortable bench in Overture’s beautiful lobby.
