Duck Soup Cinema - Her Wild Oat

Colleen Moore was one of the most popular female stars of the 1920s, as a comedienne and a dramatic actress. She broke away from a sweet and innocent image when director Marshall Neilan cast her as the female lead in “Dinty” (1920). After achieving stardom, Moore reunited with Neilan for the romantic comedy “Her Wild Oat” (1927).

“Love” explores themes of love, ranging from joy, sadness, empathy, triumph and more, through dance. Featuring the company premiere of "Something to Remember You By" by award-winning choreographer Stephanie Martinez, the return of audience-favorite "Guitar Concerto" by Ja’ Malik and the classical virtuosic ballet "Paquita Suite" staged by Andrea Long.

Friday, Feb. 16 | Capitol Theater

Proclaimed “a phenomenon” and “one of the best pianists of his generation,” Canadian pianist Stewart Goodyear joins us to perform Mozart’s “Piano Concerto No. 27 in B flat.” The concert opens with Christopher Blake’s “Night Journey to Pawarenga,” the second of four works comprising a suite for string orchestra commissioned by Maestro Sewell. Closing the concert is Stravinsky’s “Pulcinella Suite,” which the composer himself referred to as his “discovery of the past, the epiphany through which the whole of my late work became possible.”

Miami’s sassiest seniors have returned for one more allowing audiences to relive the heartfelt hilarity of the four ladies who never stopped being best friends.
