What are your occupations?

Lorrie is a retired human resources executive, and Kevin is a retired accountant.

How did you become involved with Overture?

Lorrie’s career took us to Columbus, Ind., about the time Overture opened. We supported the local philharmonic and attended shows in bigger cities whenever we could, such as: “The Marriage of Figaro” in Prague and Gil Shaham with the Berlin Philharmonic. Upon our return to Madison in 2021, Overture quickly became an important part of our lives.

What are your favorite types of Overture shows or programs?

We subscribe to the Madison Symphony Orchestra and Broadway and attend other shows. We appreciate when the artist(s) and audience connect beyond a superficial way. As a top-notch venue for a wide variety of performers and performances, Overture is key in this regard.

Why is Overture valuable to our community?

We believe a healthy and sustainable community is diverse from head to toe. That includes opportunities to participate in, and partake in, a wide variety of artistic experiences. Overture is central to keeping Madison a leading city.

Why do you support Overture?

We support Overture for ourselves, our children and grandchildren. We support Overture out of pride and respect for a world-class venue. We support Overture as a way to give back to the community so that everyone has access to the arts.

You've supported our annual fund and Overture Forever Campaign. Why are both important to support?

We both have business backgrounds and recognize the difference between operating expenses and investments. Overture has and needs both, and we feel honored to be able to help.

Overture. Forever.
