BDDS’s 29th season, “Riches to Rags,” starts with the riches of Beethoven’s piano trios and ends with the great rags of Scott Joplin and others. Like many of us throughout time, Beethoven worried about money. Once in a while he would come across a musical project that promised high return for a relatively low investment of time. In “Cash Cow,” glorious soprano Emily Birsan joins Stephanie Jutt, flute, and the San Francisco Piano Trio in a program of great works written to make a fast buck. Visual artist Lisa A. Frank will create an exquisite video installation behind the performers on stage.
