Future Hits plays songs to make your brain sweat. Founded in 2011 by Chicago Public Schools teacher Matt Baron, Future Hits’ performance style is jumpy and engaging enough for the youngest of kiddos, and also appeals to parents and caregivers (and teachers and librarians) through meaningful lyrics wrapped inside tunes described as what Yo La Tengo and the Velvet Underground would sound like if they’d started a band for kids. Expect Future Hits to entertain and inspire all in attendance at this interactive, heartfelt and (secretly) educational concert. (Note: A handful of songs will be sung in Spanish).

Extra fun: Join us between shows for free, half-hour family yoga classes at 10:15 AM and 11:45 AM with instructors from little om BIG OM at Overture Center.
