It’s easy to forget how good we have it here in Madison. Overture has more than a dozen programs that provide artistic experiences and education for more than 200,000 people each year at little or no cost, but those programs don’t get the flashy TV ads. It’s easy to see how people are unaware of those programs. But they are central to the mission of Overture Center, and need the support of this entire community. – Gary Wolter, Chairman, CEO and President, MG&E
We are also extremely grateful for the support of the many state, local, corporate and family foundations who support Overture’s free and low-cost programs. Foundation support is critical to programs which offer access to the arts for anyone who seeks it. Many of our supporting foundations have been with us since the Civic Center days and keep the Frautschis’ vision of philanthropy alive with continued generous support.
An annual commitment from the City of Madison helps support Overture Center and the 14 community engagement programs we provide. Mayor Paul Soglin, the Madison Common Council and City of Madison taxpayers deserve our gratitude for their generous support.
