Meet the Artists

Jekalyn Carr

At just 13, Jekalyn was a highly sought-after speaker. She has never shied away from her true calling of delivering messages of positivity, hope and the celebration of her faith to audiences around the country. Her messages are always warmly received by audiences everywhere. She has graced stages at colleges, conferences, churches and organizations of all sizes and note.

At the age of 15, her speaking shifted to song when her single “Greater Is Coming” broached Billboard’s Gospel Music Top Ten chart debuting at number three. The wonderment of this achievement was manifold as Jekalyn was not only a teenager, she was and remains an independent artist. Adding to her spectacular introduction to the gospel music industry, Jekalyn received her first Stellar Award at the age of 16.

At only 22, Jekalyn is a voice for her generation and a voice in her generation. Beyond the stage, she has engaged her interests in fashion, beauty and cuisine. Though these interests are easily overshadowed by her award-winning career as a singer, she is ready to show the world that there’s so much more to her winning platform! As an independent artist, she has made waves by as a perennial award nominee. Her critically acclaimed albums not only reach the hearts of the listeners, they make an impact with her peers in the industry, many who are decades her senior. She received her first Grammy nomination at 19, has garnered a #1 Top Gospel Album (The Life Project), achieved #1 Gospel Airplay recognition and #1 Digital Gospel Songs for her song “You’re Bigger”, two Billboard Award nominations, four Stellar Gospel Music Awards and a GMA Dove Award for Traditional Gospel Album (One Nation Under God).

Joshua Rogers

Sunday Best host, GRAMMY® winning Platinum selling artist Kirk  Franklin gave Rogers the nickname “Young Buck”. After weeks  of consistent performances of songs Rogers landed in the finals and ultimately won. Rogers rose to prominence when he became the first male and youngest winner of Sunday Best. With his win, Rogers received a cash prize, a 2013 Ford Escape, and a recording contract with Mathew Knowles’ Music World Gospel label.

During his tenure at Music World Gospel, the 22-year-old Greeleyville, South Carolina native released his debut EP, Well Done (2012), which premiered at No.1 on the Billboard Charts. Angela Primm

Angela Primm is one of the premier voices of our time. Her musical history spans genres, continents, and audiences. She has commanded the attention of mega-stars from Aretha Franklin, Barbara Mandrell, Dolly Parton, and Brooks and Dunn to Southern Gospel music legends, as the late Vestal Goodman. Angela’s background is what dreams are made of, and she is only beginning to step into the fullness of her purpose.

Singing behind musical geniuses, Andre Crouch, Patti Austin, Bill Gaither, Rascal Flatts, and others, her four-octave soprano voice added rich tones and depth of sound to each artist’s recording. Angela Primm whose gift of song, love of the Gospel, and Gospel music has catapulted her, as the Bible says, “before great men.” Her current and inevitable step as a solo artist is the natural progression of a life divinely designed.

Angie is also a wife and businesswoman. True to her down-to-earth personality, she considers her most important achievement to be marrying her soul mate, John Primm. A successful businessman as well as a fine vocalist himself, he is Angie’s biggest fan, chauffeuring her and caring for her on many of her personal appearances. He knew how to love her over 30 years ago and continues to do so to this day. For fourteen years, Angie and John established “Still Waters, Christian Light Club, Inc.,” which was a live Christian cabaret that never compromised the Gospel. It was a fun time for the Saints and a huge hit in Nashville, TN.
