Meet the Artist

Wayne the Wizard

Wayne the Wizard got the magic bug somewhere around 10 years old when he saw his first magician in a church basement. He learned ventriloquism at the age of 13 from a mail order course. Wayne thanks his family for all the support over the years!
Wayne developed his act performing at Shakey's (East) Pizza Parlor every Friday and Saturday night here in Madison in the 80s and 90s. Since then, he has performed all over Wisconsin and surrounding states at many venues, including festivals and fairs.
Wayne’s a member of a number of magician’s organizations, including the International Brotherhood of Magicians (Order of Merlin – Excaliber) Society of American Magicians (Silver Tier) and the Houdini Club of Wisconsin.
Wayne was honored to receive the 2024 Houdini Club of Wisconsin Outstanding Comedy Magic Performance Award. He also received the 2015 Magician of the Year by the local International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring #31 Madison Magic Club.
