BUYER BEWARE/SECONDARY PARTY SELLERS
Any site other than overture.org which is selling tickets for events at Overture Center is a ticket reseller. If you purchase a ticket from a reseller, you’ll pay significantly more than face value and may not even receive a valid ticket. We work hard to curb ticket reselling, and you can help by buying directly from Overture Center. Learn more about how to purchase legitimate tickets, and the benefits you receive by doing so, by clicking here.

Tickets for the show and/or price range I want are sold out. Can I get on a wait list?
Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate wait lists.
Will I receive a discount if I bring a group?

Gift certificates can be used to purchase tickets online, in person, over the phone, or via a mail or fax order.
Can I use a gift certificate for a season subscription?
Yes, as long as it is for an Overture Center season subscription. At this time, we cannot accept gift certificates for seasonal subscriptions of resident company performances such as the Madison Symphony Orchestra and Madison Opera. You may use gift certificates to purchase individual shows presented by them.
What types of payment do you take?
For phone or online orders, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. For ticket window and mail orders, we accept cash and personal checks in addition to credit cards. We ask that you do not send cash in the mail, for security reasons.
I have vouchers or a gift certificate. Can I redeem them over the phone?
We are able to redeem gift certificates over the phone, but not vouchers. You can mail vouchers to us or bring them directly to the ticket office to redeem them.
Can I exchange tickets if my plans change?
In many cases, you may exchange your ticket for a different date or performance. Overture requires the physical tickets to make the exchange. Please note that for many shows, including all Broadway shows, there is often a 24-72 hour deadline prior to curtain where exchanges out of that show are no longer allowed. Call the ticket office at 608.258.4141 for more information.
If I decide I no longer want to attend a show, can I get a refund?
Unfortunately, we are not able to issue refunds unless a performance is cancelled or rescheduled.
Do you have ADA-accessible seating in your venues?
Yes, every venue in Overture Center is accessible for any number of requirements. Please contact us at 608.258.4452 or accessibility@overture.org for more information.
Where is the best place to drop someone off?
For a performance in Overture Hall, we recommend the drop-off area on Fairchild Street directly in front of the Overture Hall Lobby. For performances in other venues, we recommend dropping guests off near the main entrance on State Street or the rear entrance on Henry Street.
Does the ticket office handle performances in the OnStage Performing Arts Series for Students?
For OnStage performances, please contact the OnStage Coordinator at 608.258.4165 or email onstage@overture.org.
