Lost and Found
)
It’s always difficult to lose or misplace personal items, but in a public venue such as a large-scale performing arts center, it tends to happen from time to time. At Overture, we believe it is our responsibility to intake those items and make sure they are both cataloged and stored safely so that the property may eventually be returned to their owner.

Types of Lost and Found Items
At Overture Center, we choose to categorize lost items into one of two different groupings.
Returning Items
Level One Items can be handed back to their owners by both staff and volunteers during normal business hours. Guests do not need to provide any sort of identification and they are not required to sign a document saying they picked up the item. Please look for these items at our Information Desk area in the main Rotunda or, if the Information Desk is closed, visit our Ticket Office.
Level Two Items are only to be returned to guests by Overture Security and Guest Services administration. Guests must reach out to the email listed above, and on our website, to set up an appointment with a staff member to make the exchange. Guests must provide formal identification as well as sign the item’s intake form to prove that the item was returned with all its contents. The exception to this rule is on the night of a show/event when the guest who lost the item(s) comes immediately after the performance to our Information Desk area to pick it up—at which time a staff member may return it before it has been deposited into the safe.
Holding Times
Given our building’s current available storage capacity, we can only hold Lost and Found items for a short amount of time.
Level One Items are held for up to 30 days.
Level Two Items are held for up to 60 days.
Disposal of Items
Level One Items will be donated if they have not been claimed by the designated holding time of 30 days.
Level Two Items will be disposed of in a manner that protects the identity of the original owner. Personal items such as driver’s licenses, credit cards, vaccination records, etc. will be shredded and disposed of after 60 days. Electronics and jewelry will be sold at auction after 60 days and the proceeds from those sales will be donated as a gift to Overture.
